Oct 24: Hastingleigh Circular, Kent
Meet Wye Station 11.03 (Charing Cross 09.34 – check!) Silks Farm, Fishpond Farm, Hastingleigh (lunch at The Bowl Inn), Court Lodge (St Mary’s Church), West Down, Hassell Street, Marriage Farm, 89, Wye, Wye Station. 12miles, 19km, 264m ascent, [LR179, E137].

Oct 31: Bath Skyline and City Circular, Somerset
Meet Bath Spa Station (Southern entrance) 10.01 (Paddington 08.30, arr. 09.47 – check! Parking/park and ride options). Hills and valleys just south and east of the city centre passing Lyncombe Hill nature reserve, Prior Park (NT), Claverton Down and Sham Castle, NW to Sydney Gardens (picnic lunch). Then the Georgian World Heritage cityscape to the Circus, Royal Crescent, Roman Baths and Abbey, Bath Spa Station. 9miles, 14km, 420m ascent [E155].

Nov 14: Leigh-on-Sea, Benfleet circular, Essex
Meet Leigh-on-Sea Station 10.04 (London Liverpool St Station 09.15 – check!). Hadleigh Marsh dyke to Benfleet, Hadleigh Park (cafe), Farm, Castle, Leigh-on-Sea (late lunch, cockle sheds, galleries), Leigh-on-Sea station. An Essex walk with views to London, Canvey Island, the Thames Estuary and the North Foreland of Kent. Birdlife and historical interest. 8miles, 65m ascent [E175].

Nov 14: Coaley Peak, Cotswold Way
Meet at Coaley Peak Car Park (NE of Dursley at SO 794014, W3W newlyweds.lorry.comically) at 09.45 for a prompt 10.00 start (free parking). Start through Coaley Wood, past a Long Barrow towards Uley Bury. After descending, climb Cam Long Down and Cam Peak before heading back to Uley Bury. Final section includes Crawley, Toney Woods and Nympsfield, before rejoining the Cotswold way back to the car park. Approx. 16 km, 550m ascent/descent. [E167, 168].

Jan 16: Rodborough Common, Cotswolds
Meet at Rodborough Common Car Park (S of Stroud at SO 851040, W3W lived.aviators.meals) at 09.45 for a prompt 10.00 start (free parking). Start across Rodborough Common, past Houndscroft and then onto Minchinhampton Common (passing a Long Barrow). It will pass through Box, Longford Mill, Gatcombe Wood and Minchinhampton, finally skirting the commons and back to start. Approx.17 km, 380m ascent/descent. [E168].
