The AAC(UK) are pleased to announce that the 2022 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be on Saturday 29th October at Cote Ghyll Mill YH, Osmotherley, DL6 3AH.
During the weekend, from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th October, the AAC(UK) will also host a weekend of activities and training alongside the AGM, that allows members to enhance and develop their skills, and meet with other AAC(UK) members.
Those wishing to attend the AGM weekend (activities, training, and
the meeting) or just the meeting in person can now register their interested using our online AGM registration form.

Accommodation has been reserved for AAC(UK) members for the Friday and Saturday night, at Cote Ghyll Mill. The centre will provide the base for the AGM meeting, AGM dinner and the weekend activities.
The event will cost £85.00 for accommodation at Cote Ghyll Mill. The price includes 2 nights’ accommodation, (Friday and Saturday), breakfast and packed lunch, (Saturday and Sunday), afternoon tea and cake (on Saturday), and a 3 course evening meal on Saturday.
To book your place, please complete the 2022 AGM Activities Weekend Registration form on the AAC(UK) website. Please do read all the information below, before completing and returning your booking form to the Office.
Mill Accommodation - The rooms at Cote Ghyll Mill are a mixture of shared rooms with 2, 4 or 6 beds (please be aware these are bunk beds). If you would like to share with a specific person, please do indicate this on the form. If you’re attending with your partner, please do state on the booking form if you’re happy to share with others, i.e. in a mixed room. We don’t have single rooms but do contact the Office about this and we can see what we can accommodate. (Please note, while bed linen is provided, towels are not).
Campervans and Camping – We have reserved areas for camper vans and tents. The prices for these are on the booking form. Members can opt for pitch only, pitch and evening meal, or full delegate package.
Friday Evening Meal - Members are advised to book a table at one of the 3 local pubs in Osmotherley offering bar meals. The village is a 10 minute walk from the venue. There is also a self-catering kitchen at Cote Ghyll which members can use. Labelled items can be kept in the fridge.
Breakfast - Hot and cold breakfast will be served between 07.30h and 08.30h.
Packed Lunches - Packed lunches are provided, and sandwich fillings need to be chosen in advance, (please choose on the booking form).
Saturday AGM Dinner - The AGM will be followed by a special AGM dinner at 19.30h on Saturday evening. The 3 course dinner must be ordered in advance on the booking form. (See Appendix for menu choices). Dietary requirements will be catered for at Cote Ghyll – please indicate this on the booking form).
Booking terms - In the case where the event is forced to cancel due to Covid-19 or otherwise, then a full refund will be made. If members choose to cancel, the AAC(UK) will refund in full if more than 3 weeks notice is given (i.e. cancellation by 5th October). The booking deadline is 30th September.
During the AGM weekend, everyone will have the opportunity to participate in a training event or led activity - should they wish. AAC(UK) will be subsidising the training and led activities, and as such these events are free to members who are staying at Cote Ghyll as part of the AGM weekend.
Courses will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Most are day courses; but the GPS navigation and First Aid run on both Saturday and Sunday.
If spaces allow, some members may have the opportunity to participate in a second activity. When you complete the registration form, please tell us your first and second choice.
Over the weekend, there will be organised walks taking place for members to join. On the day when you are not on a training course, or led activity, do sign up for a walk. You are of course welcome to join a walk on both days! Please sign up for walks when you arrive at Cote Ghyll. Advance booking is not required.
The AGM is a yearly gathering of the Club members, primarily to vote on Club issues, select the company's board of directors, and report on the year's events. At an AGM, the Club Directors present an annual report containing information for members about the company's performance and strategy. Members have the right to vote on current issues such as appointments to the Club's board of directors, executive compensation, , and the selection of auditors. Members can also ask questions to the directors of the Club and have the opportunity to express their ideas and concerns.

Members interested in attending the meeting in person can do so by registering below.
Members unable to attend in person but wishing to attend the AGM virtually will be able to do so through Zoom. A link will be available on this page of our website during the weekend of the AGM. We would recommend downloading the necessary applications and software prior to the event.
Those unable to attend in person but wish to participate in the voting can do so using the Proxy Voting Form. An online and paper form will be available to all members prior to the AGM.
