Gedenkschrift am Glungezer
Eric Tarrant is the archivist for the Eagle group of companies. He has just returned from a holiday in Mayrhofen, Austria. He was able to climb the Glungezer mountain with a friend who lives in Innsbruck. His interest in the mountain is the fact that one of the aircraft a Britannia G-AOVO crashed into its slopes in 1964. Eric Tarrant was employed by British Eagle. For many years he has wanted to see for himself the crash site and memorial. The climb was a little difficult due to his age, but he achived it and was delighted to have done it. Eric Tarrant left a memorial script on behalf of present ex British Eagle staff in the metal box attached to the large cross on top of the Glungezer mountain.
